Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham says one of her biggest regrets is having a boob job. In a letter which has emerged which the singer wrote her younger self for an edition of British Vogue, she says: “I should probably say, don’t mess with your boobs.”
She goes on to say that she had denied plastic surgery for years, which was “stupid,” adding that having the surgery had been a sign of her own insecurity. Vogue has now shared a link to the feature, giving congratulations to her on being awarded an OBE.
In the letter, Mrs Beckham also reveals that she was drunk when she first met her footballer husband David in the Nineties. Her moving missive to herself is for a What I wish I’d known piece. David first saw Victoria in a Spice Girls video and decided that she was perfect.
After that, Victoria, who was then better known for her nickname Posh Spice went to Manchester United to see him play, and said she fell in love at first sight. In her letter, she says that her younger self ought to learn more about football because love at first sight does happen. She says that while other footballers were standing at the bar, David was with his family. At that point, Victoria was more famous that David.
She said that she thought he had a cute smile and she liked that he was close to his family, just as she was with hers. David asked her for her number at that point, and sweetly, Victoria says he has kept the London to Manchester plane ticket that she wrote it on.
The still loved up pair married in 1999 and went on to have four children – Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, five. In the Vogue article, Victoria also talks about feeling that she did not fit in a theatre school, because she did not feel as if she was the prettiest or the thinnest person there.
