A boyhood fan of Manchester United Rory McIlroy revealed that he doesn’t have time for former captain of Manchester United Roy Keane. His disposition apparently comes from an incident that occurred when he was a little boy supporting his boyhood club, Manchester United.
He had requested for an autograph from Roy Keane at the Portmarnock Links Hotel when he was with the Ireland squad captain snubbed him. He got very upset with Keane and had never liked him, even till this day.
During the masters in the UK last week, McIlroy made an exceptional gesture to a young fan when he gave the fan his ball.
When he spoke ahead of an interview for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Rory who is 4 time major winner said:

“I remember when i went to watch games at Wentworth each year and playing golf balls with Sam Torrance and Mark O’Meara. I know how it felt to get an autograph so to ask from someone and not getting really got to me and I never forgave him Roy Keane) after that.”
When asked about the name of the star that denied him an autograph, he said Roy Keane.
Rory McIlroy has been a regular feature in Old Trafford in the last few years.
